Oy. I SUBMITTED THIS LAST NIGHT, PEOPLE. DA is effed up. Grr. And I am not screwed by any definition of the word.

Anyway, convention. VJCL convention, the state Latin convention. My very first convention. You get it, right? So. It was awesome!!!!!!!! I only got about four hours of sleep over the course of two days, but I got to miss school for it, and my school won first place in its division for the spirit contest! We were all so hoarse by the time that was over. I also personally won second place in the twelfth grade mixed media division for artwork, and for our tests (our school was required to take four per student >.< I received fifth place for Mythology, sixth (or seventh...?) for Hellenistic History (how I did that, I'll never know; that test was HARD), and eighth for Roman Life and Customs. This was for my year level IN THE STATE, so I'm very proud of myself. >^_^< We stayed up almost all night and ordered pizza from our hotel room and watched movies. And I bought T-shirts. Then I participated in karaoke and the talent show (performing Adeste Fideles a capella) The only downside I recall, besides lack of sleep, was the fact that for the most part, we had to pay for our own food and stuff. And the food was all expensive. Otherwise, well worth the cost.

Next, broken teeth. Blame my little brother Sangasan for that. I was trying to wake him up and he threw an alarm clock in my mouth. Broke one incisor and nearly knocked out the other one. Mom had a field day trying to get me to the orthodontist in time. Turns out I won't lose the teeth (we'll get a second opinion from my dentist anyway--good thing we already had an appointment), but Sangasan's grounded for ever and ever. No more PS2 games for a while, and he has to pay all of my dentist's bills. >:] Mwahahaha. Revenge is sweet.

Unfortunately, this injury impeded my eating, so I have to cut EVERYTHING into teeny tiny pieces so I can get it past my incisors to the molars. It made Thanksgiving dinner a bit of a challenge, at any rate.

And I drove for 2 hours 20 minutes today, more than twice my normal driving time (20 minutes), on two minor highways and one major one. I-95. Thank God we don't live in Maryland anymore, I hear the merges are murder up there. And where we lived, I would have had no choice but to drive it very soon. As it is, I nearly caused an accident and earned a B- on my dad's rating scale. Better than the first time. I earned an Eeeeeeeeeeeee!!!! No, really.
